Keith Wilson to Speak in St. Paul

Property Rights and Anti-Bill 50 advocate Keith Wilson will be speaking in St Paul tomorrow night. Keith Wilson gives presentations around the province about four laws which the Alberta government has passed which give cabinet significant new powers to confiscate people’s property without due compensation – Bills 19, 24, 36, and 50. Bill 50 is a major concern for us – it is the legislation that allows cabinet to arbitrarily skip the independent needs assessment process for certain high voltage transmission lines. RETA and many other organizations have been calling for a repeal of these laws (but especially of Bill 50), and a return to a more fair process for determining what our power needs are.

The event in St. Paul will be the evening of March 7th at 7:00 at the St Paul Rec Center (4802 – 53 St).

These laws are about more than property rights or power bills. They are about undermining the rule of law in Alberta. They ALL must be repealed as soon as possible. For a full explanation of each of these bills, click on this link:
