Making Money By Making Friends: SNC-Lavalin/AltaLink & Alberta PC Party
This morning, Responsible Electricity Transmission for Albertans released a paper detailing some of our concerns about the relationship between the Alberta PC party and SNC-Lavalin. Recent media reports about SNC-Lavalin’s activities around the world show a pattern of questionable corporate behaviour which could be seriously concerning to members of the public.
“It seems that the relationship between SNC-Lavalin subsidiary AltaLink and the provincial PC party may have a lot to do with why the Alberta government is so keen on overbuilding our transmission grid,” said RETA President Bruce Johnson. “We’ve been looking for the ‘why’ behind this for a long time. This paper sheds some light on how that relationship might have led us to where we are today in terms of the Heartland Line.”
This paper is called “Making Money by Making Friends: SNC-Lavalin/AltaLink “, and was released this morning.
